    • Description

Sulky Tear-Easy stabilizer is temporary, lightweight and soft. It provides great stability combined with effortless removal that doesn’'t pull, tear or distort stitches. Professional embroiderers use 1, 2 or 3 layers to stabilize virtually any fabric and quilter’s use it for foundation piecing and as a removable design template. Just remember to tear-away one layer at a time. Tear-Easy is perfect for any project where wetting or heating is not the desired method of removal. All Sulky stabilizers are acid and lead free!

    Helpful Hints

    • Because all Sulky Tear-Away Stabilizers are made from non-woven materials they don’t stretch in any direction.
    • Use Sulky tear-away stabilizers as backings for all types of appliqué, digitized and free-motion embroidery, edge-stitch support, monogramming, buttonholes, and decorative stitching
    • Ultra stiffness in a tear-away may provide the support you need, but if it pulls out stitches when torn away, it could ruin the project.
    • Tear-Easy is often used in combination with permanent stabilizers like Sulky Cut-Away Plus or Sulky Soft ‘n Sheer, depending on the fabric being embroidered.
    • Many times layering Tear-Easy can be the right choice because you can easily tear away one layer at a time while supporting the stitching with your fingers.
    • Spray Sulky KK 2000 onto Tear-Easy to make it into a “sticky back” stabilizer or to make layers behave as one.
    • An additional layer of Tear-Easy can be "floated" under the hoop when doing computerized machine embroidery if additional stabilizing looks necessary.
