40 wt. Rayon thread is my "go to" thread for machine embroidery. Most embroidery designs are digitized to be stitched out with 40 wt. Rayon. So that means when you use 40 wt. Rayon thread, you will get the best results. Also, the decorative stitches built into our machines are calibrated for 40 wt. Rayon thread too! But my favorite thing about Rayon thread is that it tolerates a hot heat, and if you follow me, you'll understand why this is so important to me.
40 wt. Rayon thread is not just for machine embroidery and topstitching. You can also quilt your projects with Rayon thread too! It is recommended that you use at least an 80/12 needle when using Rayon thread. The type of needle you use will depend on what you are embroidering. I sometimes use a Universal needle and sometimes I find that I get better results with a Top Stitch needle.Sulky Rayon Thread - Burgundy

If you have a love-hate relationship with metallic threads because you find metallics hard to sew with, then you have to try the new Sulky Poly Star metallic thread. This thread is a true game changer. You can use this beautiful thread with success right away, without "setting" your machine up to sew with a metallic thread. This thread glides effortlessly off the spool and sews like butter. Best of all it is GORGEOUS as is has flecks of sparkle and is not a solid shine like other metallic threads. Give it a try...you will be glad you did!
