In 2022, I tried a lot of new things as I expanded my knowledge in the realms of mixed media and art quilting. Kevin Womack taught a dying class at the yearly Mid-Appalachian Quilters Retreat in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was so much fun, and these fabrics are so gorgeous. Nope, I haven’t cut them up yet. I’m still in disbelief that I dyed something so beautiful on my first try!

Look at how much beautiful color our dyed fabric added to the landscaping at the college! Everyone had a different color scheme and the results were amazing!!!

Even my bits of raveled threads from the fabric was gorgeous!

The entire dying process was so fascinating. Although it is pretty easy, it’s way too much to me to step out in a blog post. Besides, Kevin is the expert! I highly recommend that if you get a chance to take a class with Kevin do so. He’s an excellent instructor and has a great personality!
