  • Start Each Day with a Grateful Heart

To the best of my knowledge, I completed this wall hanging in February, 2019. It was gifted to a co-worker upon her retirement.

The main part is a pre-printed panel from Designs in Machine Embroidery (DiME) and I used an included wood grain embroidery design to embroider the background.

This was a lot of fun to work on and I used many built-in features of the Baby Lock Destiny to design and create the heart “paw print” embroidery design.

Created in IQ Designer in a Baby Lock Destiny.

The most exquisite detail of this wall hanging is that I quilted it with Sulky Holoshimmer metallic thread using the Baby Lock Quilter’s Choice Pro. My technique for successful quilting metallic thread often results in the metallic thread laying flat on the fabric.

Quilted with Sulky Holoshimmer, a metallic thread.

The most challenging part of this wall hanging was the binding. I have since tackled binding and can do it without instructions.
