How exciting it to see my name in print in a trade publication! I thought I should jump on here and add a post announcing Spools & Tools, since this is my specialty. For years, I’ve been working at trade and consumer shows across the country on behalf of Sulky and/or Clover. I do a combination of teaching classes, booth demonstrations and helping customers find just what they need to help them with their projects.

Aside from shows, I also give lectures/demos and workshops for sewing and quilt guilds. If you are interested in having me at your shop or guild, I’m happy to send to send you my brochure.

In addition, while not traveling, I have been teaching classes at my local community college and parks & recreation and have been having a lot of fun teaching adult beginners. I must admit I was really surprised to see my classes filled with so many newbies! Thinking back on my sewing path, I’m so happy to be the one sharing my passion with them because they are truly learning so much more from me. I get to share great spools and the best tools with them so they can see it’s not so hard after all.

I love to go on adventures with my Jeep Gladiator, Edgar. Inspire asked for a lifestyle picture and I submitted 3, one was sewing related, and they chose this one! LOL… Thanks to a salesman who told me I would never use the buttons in this Rubicon, I accepted his challenge. I found an amazing group called Lady Jeepers, and the leader is all about teaching women how to use their Jeeps and empowering women! Our events are nothing short of amazing, and the bottom line is that it can relate to sewing events as well.
